Alone In The Dark

This is just for you, Andrew. If you were to sit alone in the absolute darkness of a room. Does it matter what’s all around you? Does this writer need to describe what’s there in the darkness?

You can’t see it?!?

But the thought is leaving the room… wait! I’ll speak it! Don’t leave!!!

Thoughts? Or voices? Let’s use voices now… I’m trying to describe this thought on my head.

It’s all our thoughts you see, they are these that move us from pillow to the floor, from the unconscious state of the bed to the wakened state of standing upright. What’s the first thing that moves you? Motivates you off that pillow, and out into the world.

You’re safe there, inches from the sleigh bed. The bed we have you. Laurence and Cheryl love you. As soon as you open your eyes, realize where you are, you know also that God loves you. Yes, you’ve made it through another night to the light of day.

But the KNOWING God loves you comes from believing who he is, and what he says!

His word says he loves you. The liar comes to convince you that you are the exception, to remind you of the verses that talk about the damned.

And to convince you rage you are among the damned.

YOU must rise with sword in hand!

What sword? The “sword the spirit wields” is the bible, his word!

Declare the truth there in the darkness.

My thought is that from when you rise up from the pillow until you once again “lay me down to sleep”

That you discern which is God’s guiding light. Ask him, he’ll help you! Acknowledge his presence! Let that be your first claim!

Look at this!!!

“For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened.”

Romans‬ ‭1‬:‭21‬
