Don’t Panic

Amygdala

Ashton went to see a counsellor yesterday. She listened, and pointed to that spot in the brain (see above)

She managed to find a precise spot in his physical makeup that’s “acting up” and pointed him to natural remedies.

Talking with my daughter and her hubsand about this they had this to say>

I’ve always thought that Ashton is more closed off and doesn’t ask questions as much as someone else might especially about stuff that would otherwise confuse people. Like when I talk to him about something new that I’m explaining and he gives his usually responses then I’ll always clarify if he understood what I meant and he’ll say “actually no I didn’t really get that” even though he previously said he did.

What he has is an overactive imagination as someone who is utterly gifted with creativity, the enemy is taking advantage of that part of him and feeding him thoughts about death and sickness. These are things we’ve all faced except that Ashton isn’t asking questions or doubting them and because it’s coming from you it feels like he’s being invalidated instead of reassured. Maybe that points to an underlying feeling he has when it comes to talking to you about things? Because when he starts talking about stuff like this over voice with me, and I quickly tell him he’s being misled by fear mongering and to look into it more, he doesn’t dispute it at all and ends up agreeing with me. (he did it in the past about a few things, like when COVID was happening and he was talking about some really heavy fear mongering on the media) when he talks to others like me or hubsand I have a feeling it will diffuse that sense of him not being taken seriously a lot…. anyway this has been my reflecting upon it and seeing what my intuition says given the little that I know about it overall. If I’m wrong about anything you can correct me. I just think Ashton needs to touch grass, as gen Z would say.

…and from Pastor Mark>

The word coming to me for you here is, “Fear Not.”

I would go further and say don’t come before God in Fear. Come before Him in Faith.

He quoted these scriptures>
  • In James 1:6-9 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do. Believers in humble circumstances ought to take pride in their high position.
  • Matthew 21:21 Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done. 22 If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”

With all humility I will also suggest that Ashton is fearful because you are fearful. I say this because God is teaching this to me also. Ashton needs a strong, bold, faith filled Father.

Also I believe God has Ashton’s problem all figured out. God is saying ‘I got this, Leave it with me’

Amen and I love you brother.

I am currently meditating on a ῥῆμα word. Rhema – I am using this word to describe an experience, this one, and many more throughout my life. As I read his word, a thought comes to me, and it is a spoken word to my soul. It is so important to realize that we must take the WHOLE COUNSEL of God’s word into view when ever we have this sense. So that’s why I say I am meditating upon it. Its a little like a hunch that a detective has that he must subsequently chase down evidence for that will hold up in a court of LAW. So, as I meditate, and wait, I hear over and over again subtle nuance’s of it, and today is an example.

here is a link that defines the word Rhema in the Bible

The phrase “and his household” as mentioned here>

  • Acts 16:31-34
  • Acts 10
  • John 4:53 Then the father realized that this was the exact time at which Jesus had said to him, “Your son will live.” So he and his whole household believed.

So, that’s where it started, but as in this word from Pastor Mark today, it continued. I write out the Bible….

I'll wait here while you get over that idea. Folks are shocked, and marvel, and wonder... and I just came to love it. So, you can just get over it. I eat, sleep, pay my bills, go for bike rides... and I love to write out the Bible. It floats my boat! It brings me amazing and hard to describe benefits! I accidentally found this discipline when I wanted to give a written copy of the Gospel of John to my oldest son, Jamie, for his birthday several years ago. Its like not knowing you were swimming in radioactive water LOL... but if you wanna stick with biblical references, check out Moses when he came down from being in God's presence on Mount Sinai. This is a word from my brother Arthur>
Exodus 34:29-35

… and as I wrote out Leviticus I marveled at this verse>

  • Leviticus 16:6 “Aaron is to offer the bull for his own sin offering to make atonement for himself and his household.

The thing that is emerging for me, is that I as a Father, have an influence over my family that is profoundly spiritual. One that I have no ability to FAKE, or contrive. Take a look at one last verse here, that’s just come to mind. Its the one where Jesus tells his disciples an IF/Then statement. Isn’t that like a covenant? In John 15. If you abide in me… well, lets look it up>

  • John 15:5 I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.

Stop striving to DO good works, instead, abide, listen, and obey.

Amen
