Enter Into His Rest

I believe he is calling you to enter into his rest. It’s a term used in the book of Hebrews.

The whole of the Book of Hebrews uses the Old Testament and the Israelites as a back drop and foreshadowing for the message that is referred to as the mystery that was hidden “until now”.

The whole of the Bible, written when it was written, and the means by which it was written, all points to its authenticity. Paul, in his letters to the churches, explains this connection.

Acts 10 is evidence that it was a mystery, Peter is called to bring the gospel to a gentile! He was one of twelve apostles to whom Jesus gave the great commission! And he was completely surprised by it! Yet it was hidden in plain sight!

Way back in the beginning when God called Abraham, his pronounced blessing included “and all peoples through your offspring will be blessed”

This is why starting the Bible read in the Gospel of John is recognized to the seeking ones.

One more thing I want to add. When Jews rose to defend themselves in court, they would go way back to the beginning and explain their case from there. Look at this testimony of the first martyr, Stephen was his name. ❤️
