There’s a picture that I’ve had in my mind for quite some time now, and it’s been something I’ve been meaning to write down. I know that I think in pictures, but they’re not static, they they’re like videos, and yet that seems inadequate as well. For whatever reason, it’s a B-52 flying over the battle zone. A.k.a. the world in which we live in, but not just some singular space in time, all of history… If it were possible. And in the back of the B-52, flying through the air, there’s a big table in the centre of the room, and God, the father God, the son and God the Holy Spirit are standing one each of the four sides, and not on the table, but through the table, the whole span of history can be seen, these are the generals, who have met, they’re looking at the problem, seriously, contemplating collaborating, and then it dawns on them, all of them at the same time, they all agree and yet not a word has been spoken. God, the father and God the Holy Spirit look into each other’s eyes and they realize someone’s gotta go in someone has to go down there! They look over at Jesus, he’s already got his boots on the lace is tied up tight around his ankles, he’s got his flack jacket. He’s got his parachute his helmet his gear. He’s got that little hook that’s hooked into the device. That will pull a shoot. As soon as he’s free of the plane, they look into his eyes and he looks into their eyes and he says I know I know someone has to go down there and I know that it’s gotta be me I bid you to do, gentlemen, keep in touch and out heat ups down into the depths of history to change it utterly to change the end of the story, utterly!
