That adjective clause is so vital, but it obscures the message in its complexity.
That one —-> Jesus
Jesus is the only begotten of the Father.
Jesus is in the bosom of the Father.
Unfolds the Father.
In this verse is seen the complexity and simplicity of the universe.
God is transcendent. He is outside of his creation. We cannot use our finite minds to grasp or understand or fathom him. He is outside of space and time. He is God. We borrow that term, we dumb it down, we try to grasp it… but we cannot.
John’s gospel, in this first chapter he is introducing Christ Jesus.

The narrative is one which describes Christ Jesus.
