Justice Done By God Alone

We who would be avenged need not stain ourselves

We who ponder our own innocence, need to confess our guilt to God, and lay down the instruments of our revenge

We who are so out raged, must look into the eyes of the one we would accuse, and see ourselves therein

In this sovereign spot, where all is set aside, we leave it all, turn toward the door, and leave

Never looking back, never to regret the righteous act of leaving to God alone the office of judge and executioner

Always hoping, always believing in the HOPE of salvation that is ours through him who calls us by name

Walking toward our future free of the stains of hatred, unforgiveness, and lust for revenge

Free, yes, free
