Kole

I met this man by chance. And it was he that took the initiative to reach out to me, and we became friends.

He is Junior to me as a bus driver. Which means he was hired later than me. And by his words, I inspire his driving.

The most memorable, and enviable gift from him was something that you can only understand if you revere Dostoevsky as much as I do.

When we first met, he’d never yet read “Crime and Punishment

But it was really great experience of listening to someone hash out all the possibilities and scenarios. He was eager to know for himself, and didn’t want my shortcuts.

This is possibly the best picture of what it is to leave a person’s faith in their own hands. And if you claim to believe in God, then leave the relationship up to him and God.

He agreed to read it with me. And by read I mean listen, for he too is an audiobook guy, and by with me, I mean he listened for the first time in his life, in his spare moments, and I listened for the Xth time in my spare moments, another 2 times.

His insights have contributed greatly to me.

I wish I’d written them all down! Because it is a bit of a “who-done -it” I had to shut up quite a bit, and didn’t do a very good job at needing to do so, but he is quite assertive so LOL any limiting of my talk is owed to him.

Kole is very patient with me in this regard.

While we were discussing Crime and Punishment he would ask me questions, and mid answer he would interrupt me to point out that I wasn’t answering his question, “just answer my question”, he would say to me. His words often echo in my mind when I feel myself about to go off on a tangent, inspired by someone who has just asked me a question of their own.
