Leaving Self

Self Lefting

“Leaving my self, in order to walk into what God has for me.” André Fonseca

The things I want, become plans that breed expectations, and those things don’t exist.

I’m seduced into thinking they are what I want.

I try to grasp “these things” and even if I get them… I’m disappointed when I get there, it was trick to keep me from my loving Father God.

But when I let go of self… self rule

I submit through trusting the one God, to what he has for me.

I learn to hear his voice, and to be guided by him.

And find over and over again, the things he has for me.

  • Psalm 37:4
  • Matthew 6:33-34
  • John 15:

God is here.

Not over there.

You have all you need in him.

You are not alone.

Let go, and rest.

The book of Hebrews says, enter into his rest.

These are God’s truths for us, and so also for you.

Matthew 7:1-6 is a profound scripture.

As I pray and seek God in my life, I see into the lives of others and pray for them at the same time.

Write them all down on paper, all those things, and put them on the table in a pile. On top of those put all those plans. Light it all on fire.

Turn the Lord empty handed. He waits for you.

He Loves you.

That’s him there, waiting for his girl, Jenn.

Moses murdered the Egyptian, buried him in the sand, and fled.

Then in Exodus 3 God, in his  perfect timing called him to lead Israel out of Egypt

My way, God’s way… my desires, his desires… sometimes the lie is so close to the truth and that’s why we fall for it.

Hebrews 5:11 About this we have much to say, and it is hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing. 12 For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the basic principles of the oracles of God. You need milk, not solid food, 13 for everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, since he is a child. 14 But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil. Isaiah 30:19 People of Zion, who live in Jerusalem, you will weep no more. How gracious he will be when you cry for help! As soon as he hears, he will answer you. 20 Although the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, your teachers will be hidden no more; with your own eyes you will see them. 21 Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.” 22 Then you will desecrate your idols overlaid with silver and your images covered with gold; you will throw them away like a menstrual cloth and say to them, “Away with you!”
