Yashua
A man of God.
Jesus told the woman at the well – eventually – who he was and is !
There are many stories to tell already of God’s gift to me, Vahid and Behnaz.
It was after one of the home group meetings we both attend that he quietly, and humbly gave me a gentle word, that frightened me, but also compelled me to listen obediently to what the Spirit was saying through him.
“Go to John 4, and sit down beside Jesus as he speaks with the woman at the well, he has something to tell you.”
So much to say about this! The message is between myself and God, the messenger (Vahid) didn’t pretend to know that message.
There are ideas and notions that I have as I read God’s word, the Bible, and I don’t want YOU my reader to be confused. They are things to discuss, and interact about. I am not trying to be didactic, I have not made up my mind. Its a pause at a thought that occurs to me.
The Bible says to test everything in 1 Thessalonians 5:19-22
So I have and am doing so with Vahid’s word, I’ve accepted it as from the Lord himself, through my brother. And so I test it, but the King James Version renders the word there as PROVE everything.
There are two examples – so far – of a moment where the bible bears witness to a conversation that we are barely privy to.
- Zipporah’s Flint Knife Exodus 4:24-26
- Nathaniel’s Under The Fig Tree in John 1:48-49
- The recently healed man in John 5:14. Jesus, and the author, the Apostle John, doesn’t let us in on that “sin” mentioned there. But undoubtedly Jesus knew, and that man knew, what Jesus meant!
My brother, Vahid, is someone whom I just met, but there is a witness of assurance in my heart, that I asked for, and God graciously poured into me through tears. This is indeed a brother in Christ.
Come back again soon, and hit the refresh button, maybe I’ll have some more!
Amen
