Clovis (main character) goes into a bar in downtown Vancouver
- Describe downtown Vancouver in terms of safety
- Describe Clovis, his mental state, finances, source of income, dwelling, physical appearance, charms, age, nationality, why he is living downtown Vancouver and the kind of building
- Is Clovis married?
- Clovis has two children, one who is in desperate state mentally and will soon visit him accompanied by Clovis’ exwife
Melissa (secondary character)
- Age, nationality etc
- Describe why she is in that bar
- Using these parameters: she works there as a waitress, she relies on tips to make ends meet,
- Various ways she gets good tips, admirable and not so
- Describe various types of customers she has day to day, in light of setting
Basic plot line for all scenarios
- Clovis goes into the bar, desires to take Melissa home with him to “have” her
- Describe what might have led him to believe this is possible
- Describe preparations Clovis makes to see this through to fruition

- Melissa’s husband (a good one and an abusive one)
- Melissa has a string of men who take her home from work, have sex, and leave her with the fallout
- Melissa was raped by one of these, and is still PTSD

- Rough character in corner of the bar who wants a relationship with Melissa and sees Clovis as a threat

- Melissa has a protective boss, who also wants to “have her” but his wife is always around

- Things go really well at first, but she gets pregnant
- Things go really well but there is drama with her kids and Clovis
- Things go really well but then Clovis’ daughter and ex come to town, there is confusion and disconnection

- Three brothers hear frustrated worries of their sister, who is trapped, she is thinking of quitting to get away from Clovis
