What are those trees called?
Hmm…Asian Trees! Dunno, but they’re pretty.

I have a question for you. Is mathematics invented or discovered?
Wow. Great question.

Another one is in science there is the phenomena of the double slit experiment.
Scientists observe a pattern, and came up with an explanation that was theory based on what is seen. Then they altered certain aspects of the process to see if the outcomes were predictable by their understanding of and explanation of the phenomena. But their predictions came to be disproven! Leaving them with no satisfactory explanation.
How does this relate to God and most significantly, the Bible?
The Bible itself claims to be written by God, or put another way, God declares in his word, “This is my word, the Bible.”
He says that he inspired human beings to write what HE wanted written.
The purpose was to have a written hard copy that explains what is what!
Original manuscripts clicking on that there will take you to a comparison of ancient writings, and how many intact primary sources there are still in existence! The Bible is listed. I’ll wait here 😅
So my point is that the Bible is God himself telling us, not folks making best guesses.
Jesus himself is called God’s word. He came to earth to make God the Father known, to clearly state all the facts.
And not only that. He not only wrote it, and then left it on a park bench for us to discover, he is active in it, with it, Jesus himself is the Word of God.
So the things about God are straight forwardly stated.
I will dive into the stuff you’ve given me slowly, Laurence. I appreciate you taking your precious time to share it with me.

I’m praying for you Steven. My confidence is in the God who loves you, not in me and my ability to teach or persuade. The scripture that comes to me comes effortlessly, and I refuse to take credit for that. John 14:26 is another foundational verse for me about this.
A scripture that came to mind last night after listening to your voicemails,
Two curious men approached Jesus, called him Rabbi, which means teacher, and asked him “where are you staying?” His answer is the answer to us all… come, and you will see.
“The next day again John was standing with two of his disciples, and he looked at Jesus as he walked by and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God!” The two disciples heard him say this, and they followed Jesus. Jesus turned and saw them following and said to them, “What are you seeking?” And they said to him, “Rabbi” (which means Teacher), “where are you staying?” He said to them, “Come and you will see.” So they came and saw where he was staying, and they stayed with him that day, for it was about the tenth hour.”
John 1:35-39 ESV
I’m quite moved by your interest, Laurence. I really appreciate it. There have been some struggles, for sure. I hope there’s light at the end of the tunnel. I’m off to class now. I’ll chat a bit later. ❤

How about this (a slow road, I suggest): a general summary of each of the 66 books. Not to diminish it, but akin to a Bible for Dummies (dummy=me). Starting with Genesis and ending with Revelation. Meaning, general theme, key characters, scribe’s name (if relevant), tone and intent, key takeaway, connection to other books, etc. Please, no rush. Dribs and drabs is ideal. Asking with love and gratitude.
Of course, I could google same, but there is no human connection involved. Not my cup of tea.
Steven some more…
Let’s do this! 😀🥰
So, as long as I’m going to write such a cohesive message. I thought I’d archive it using my blog address. And as long as you have become known as one who has strict views on such things, please let me know what edits are warranted. But be aware that some of my “errors” are more about inability to use the webpage generator for WordPress!
