Tripe

Let’s start right off at the point I ended up at… after my crisis of the moment this a.m.

I’ve been writing this blog now since November 5, 2020 and I’ve been so blessed by it. When you have something good, you want to share it. And so…

You make a lemonade stand to sell some lemonade, or even give it away. Look at that heart breaking picture I found in my google search. Visions of all the folks you’ll bless with fresh lemonade, and maybe a pastry.

But then I come along. I should look and see if there is a germaphobe registry, cuz I should be registered. Working with the public my whole life – I’m 61 – I’ve seen lots. Our recent adventure with Covid-19 has created a lot of friends for me LOL cuz its now normal to have hand sanitizer with you, and to give fist bumps instead of hand-shakes.

For the first little while I was a paperboy in my early youth, then stock boy at the local pharmacy, a lifeguard/swim instructor, that morphed into being a Child Psychiatric worker (non-certified) and eventually a bus driver for a major city’s transit system for 32 years. Since nobody is here with me, as I reminisce… I remember that stint as a Golf Caddy for a Jewish Golf course in Winnipeg. I worked one summer for the Canadian Red Cross for the Boating Safety Detachment, touring the lakes of Manitoba, teaching boating safety at pop-ups we created on public beach fronts. Lately I’ve been driving school bus for a local private school. I love being around people.

The random conversations I have with people are wonderful. In school I got in trouble for talking in class. Its no surprise that none of my school teachers recognized my talent for interacting with others… harnessing it, and mentoring me into a PR man… it didn’t fit with their mandate of teaching the ABC’s

But, my wife wants to chat with me now… we’re listening to music my sister sent our way, “Hi, Diana…”

So there I am with a wagon, my lemonade stand is pile haphazardly upon it… and instead of tears from others, I hear stuff like… what a dumb idea anyways eh?

Francis Chan… thank you. 🙂
