Writing practice 1

The true story:

I had just left my Steveston terminus about 15 minutes before this message popped up on the screen… I was no where near the tunnel, nor would I be until 9:55 am, so I cleared the screen and continued in my route… soon entering Bridgport Stn loop as usual at 7:04 and leaving at 7:08, I still didn’t even notice anything amiss… but a mile or so later, as I passed by Michael’s Arts and crafts, I saw run 3 of the 601 line just coming to a stop from Hwy 99 off ramp… “hmm, that’s strange… I usually see that run coming out of Bridgport Stn as I am going in… oh! The tunnel, right!”

But I shrugged and lumbered on down the road… as I turned right onto No 5 Road, I prepared to pull into the stop, but noticed nobody’d rung the bell! Glancing in the rear view mirror, I realized she wasn’t there, the lady that usually got off there… and then…. I realized

“She’s on that 601!!!”
